Welcome to PG Pool 2015

Prince George’s Swimming Pool or, as it universally known, PG Pool, is located at 3301 Buchanan Street (between Queen's Chapel Road and 34th Street), in Mt. Rainier MD. It is a private pool run on a co-operative basis by its members. Visit this site regularly for the latest information about the many things that PG Pool has to offer.

People who were members in 2014 may renew their membership now. Simply login to our membership portal and click on the Renew tab. This renewal period ends at 5:00pm on April 14.

Due to an occasional quirk in the calendar, 2015 is a special year. Our season extends for a full extra week in comparison to most years, from May 23 until September 7.

Open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, PG Pool features a 50-meter pool; a large toddler pool with a new liner and deck; lush green lawns and large shade trees; volleyball, tetherball and ping-pong; sandboxes; grills and a smoker for member use; regular live entertainment and food trucks; weekly late night swims and regular tent nights; as well as a competitive swim team. In short, an idyllic setting for relaxing with friends and family. This welcoming, safe and family-friendly environment is located just minutes away from many communities in Prince George’s and Montgomery counties and the District of Columbia. These include Bladensburg, Brookland, Capitol Hill, Cheverly, College Park, Hyattsville, Mt. Rainier, Riverdale Park, Takoma Park, University Park and many more.

Membership is currently full. If you would like to join PG Pool, please add your name to the waiting list here. As of March 2015, the waiting list is very long, with more than 1,200 families on it. Before the 2014 season opened, we were able to offer a spot to ~40 families at the top of the list, so we do not expect it to clear for several years.
